FAQ

1. How does FindMyVaccine help me find vaccine slots?

Waiting to get vaccinated for the deadly COVID-19 virus but unable to secure a slot for free or paid vaccinations on the dedicated CoWIN portal and the Aarogya Setu application? Don't worry, because we bring before you FindMyVaccine that could help to find a vaccination centre with available vaccine slots.

However, keep one thing in mind, FindMyVaccine can only help in finding a vaccine centre with available slots but the booking continues to happen via the CoWIN portal.

You can enter pin code or district to find centres with available slots. Moreover, the platform will notify the users when a slot opens up via notification on the mobile app.

2. How to check for vaccination slots on FindMyVaccine?

  1. Once on the App, users are asked to search for a vaccination slot in their district or pin code.
  2. Select the necessary option and fill in the details. A list of vaccination centres show up with slot availability, the age group it is tending to, and the choice of vaccine it offers.
  3. FindMyVaccine integrates relevant filters to customize the search including PIN code, district, age, choice of vaccine, and free or paid vaccination centres.
  4. Once you've made the choice of which centre you want to head towards, you can just click on the "Book on CoWIN" option.
  5. FindMyVaccine will redirect you to the CoWIN portal for booking your appointment.

3. How to subscribe on FindMyVaccine?

Once you entered the pin code or district and you are on the search results page. If you want to subscribe to notifications when vaccination slots are available then click on the bell icon to save your preference of notification. You can subscribe to multiple pin codes or districts. Keep in mind the notification service is currently available only in Kerala.

4. I received a notification that slots are open but I can't find them when I look at the CoWIN portal?

We are using CoWIN public APIs to get the slot information and as per government policy, all the CoWIN public APIs give 5 min cached responses by default.

You can refer to the same in Arogyasethu documentation here https://apisetu.gov.in/public/api/cowin

Due to this cached delay from CoWIN API and the rush in booking slots, there is a chance that the slots get booked out by the time you see them on CoWIN portal. In such a case we will notify you whenever the slots are available again.

5. I'm getting multiple Notifications, what should I do?

If you have signed up for multiple subscriptions with different filters, then you'll receive different notifications for each of your preferences. For example, if you've signed up for notification about District Kottayam, and for Pincode 686510, you will receive two separate notifications for each of these.

6. How to Stop Notifications?

From the home screen click on the left menu button and click on the bell icon to see your active subscriptions. If you want to stop receiving the notifications you can click on the bin icon to unsubscribe.

7. After reinstalling I'm not able to see my subscriptions?

We are not keeping any details that can help us recognize you. We recognize devices based on a token created when you install the application. When you uninstall we can no longer identify the device. That's why you are not able to see your old subscriptions.

8. How FindMyVaccine respects your privacy?

FindMyVaccine respects your privacy and we are not collecting any user-specific data like email, phone number, age, name and user preferences.
